In a clear and accessible manner, Kim Riddlebarger presents and defends amillennialism as the historic Protestant understanding of the millennial age. Nov 21, Elmarie rated it it was amazing.

Riddlebarger will help and encourage Christians both to understand the real teaching of the Bible and to appropriate the blessing of this truth. This volume addressed my concerns. He then covers the critical texts, and draws conclusions.

I rated this book three stars because it has some good content in it regarding hermeneutics and covenant theology. I don’t often write reviews but I thought this book worthy of a few comments. Let me first say that I’m writing this unxerstanding the perspective of a former Dispensationalist that was bible college-trained in that theology. But if there was not an iota understadning eschatalogical doctrine in the Bible impossible, I know, but ifthen what we conclude about the growth of the gospel since the resurrection of Jesus?


I highly recommend this book as a starting point for anyone interested in hearing the overwhelming evidence for this, nowadays, oft-overlooked viewpoint on eschatology.

This view holds to a secret rapture, and a literal tthe reign of Christ on the earth. While I am sure amillenialism has some holes in its own eschatolog I have never really had an understanding of other eschatological beliefs other than premillenialism so I decided to challenge my own beliefs and picked this up.
